2 Kings 7:9
Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.
The speakers were four lepers who ventured out and found the Syrian camp deserted, with its food and goods left abandoned. Their words that they were not doing right meant they recognized it was wrong to keep such good news to themselves. They therefore resolved to go quickly to tell the king's household rather than delay. Their report carried hope and practical relief to Samaria, which was suffering famine because of the siege. The abandoned supplies they discovered fulfilled Elisha's prediction of deliverance.
