2 Kings 9:16

So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

After his anointing as king at Ramoth Gilead, Jehu set out by chariot for Jezreel, driving swiftly toward the city. Joram of Israel was lying there, recovering from a wound he had received in battle. Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to Jezreel to visit Joram, who was his uncle.

Jehu's journey to Jezreel was to carry out his commission against the house of Ahab. There at Jezreel Joram and Ahaziah were killed, along with others who remained of that house.
