2 Kings 9:26

Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

The Lord Himself had seen the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons shed the day before, and He declared that He would repay Ahab's house in that very plot of ground. That requital was not left uncertain, for the word bound the place of the crime to the place of punishment. Jehu's campaign against the house of Ahab was commissioned by God as judgment for the blood of the Lord's servants and prophets shed under that house. When Jehu struck down Jehoram and had him cast into Naboth's field, that act fulfilled the Lord's declared repayment.
