2 Peter 2:13

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

The reward of unrighteousness is the due outcome, wages and punishment that the wicked and unjust earn by their wrongdoing, in which they utterly perish in their own corruption unto swift destruction with the mist of darkness reserved forever. To count it pleasure to riot in the daytime is to delight in sinful indulgence and wanton iniquity, including impurity, licentiousness and adultery, practiced openly and without shame even in daytime while still claiming to believe the truth. To be spots and blemishes sporting with their own deceivings while feasting is to be morally stained, corrupt and impure professors who mingle and share fellowship and meals with believers and God's people, yet deceive themselves and revel in and indulge their own deceptive practices.

The verse describes a class manifested in the last days just prior to the coming of the Lord, and its fulfillment is a sign of the soon coming of Jesus Christ, including spiritualists marked by such corruption and deception. That class are corrupt and presumptuous teachers who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority, professing to be reformers, followers of Christ and teachers of God's law while holding truth apart from life with profession but without living principle controlling conduct and character, even watchmen guilty of adultery who dishonor God by breaking the law. They practice licentiousness and adultery under a cloak of godliness, openly delighting in impurity even in the daytime, and are spots and blemishes when they mingle and feast with believers, sporting in their own deceptions.

They love not the truth but have pleasure in unrighteousness, holding the strong delusion that licentiousness and adultery are not displeasing to God, acting through covetousness with deceptive words. By such iniquitous works they most decidedly deny Christ, beguile unstable souls, and by vileness of character bring reproach so that the way of truth is evil spoken of. The verse also meets men in the church who cause trouble and spoil the church by holding wrong opinions they refuse to give up, counting their own judgment infallible and thus becoming unacceptable to God. They receive pleasing sophistries presented by deceiving angels and seek to immortalize theories that injure the Lord's work, showing what was met in the early church must be met again today.

The verse warns believers to examine conduct, to be on guard, and not to be deceived or drawn into the world's delight in wickedness, but to consider the wages awaiting such a course.
