2 Samuel 13:15
Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone. Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.
This verse belongs to the account of Amnon's crime against his sister, which David left unpunished. That great crime was one of the wrongs by which David's sons acted out the fruits of David's own wrongdoing.
After two years, Absalom avenged the crime by having Amnon killed at his command. That vengeance kept David's own sin continually before his mind and made him feel the injustice he had done to Uriah and Bath-sheba.
