2 Samuel 21:20

And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

The chapter in which the account of the six-fingered, six-toed giant born to the giant in the battle in Gath stands is a record of victories won in David's wars. That same chapter is also a record of the consequences of sin tolerated by the people as a whole. The account belongs to David's later history, which sets forth the judgments that followed his transgression regarding Uriah and thereby fulfilled Nathan's denunciation.
