2 Samuel 22:32

For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

The verse belongs to a song David composed while Saul was pursuing him to take his life. In that song he recounts his dangers and deliverances, crediting God as his merciful preserver whom he trusted through hardship. The song gives praise and glory to God for that preservation.

The verse declares that the Lord alone is God and the only true Rock. As that Rock, He is the source and foundation of blessing, strength and support, and a secure refuge who keeps safe those, like David, who trust in Him. He is therefore worthy of praise and thanks, and His wisdom, goodness and power are grounds to trust Him, submit the will to Him, and depend on Him.
