2 Samuel 5:16

And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.

The names stand within the manifestations of God to David recorded in 2 Samuel 5, which display the supernatural directions and assistances God bestows. They declare a God who sees all things and is everywhere present, and who concerns Himself with the affairs of His creatures. The same supernatural directions and assistances may still be given now, yet they are not given because they are not asked for, and they are not asked for because they are not expected, and they are not expected because men lack faith, being under a refined spirit of atheism and without spiritual intercourse with their Maker. He must therefore be acknowledged in all ways instead of putting human wisdom, prudence, and strength in the place of God Almighty, and whoever has faith in God must exercise it and cultivate it, and may thereby remove mountains.
