2 Samuel 6:23

Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

The verse closes the account of bringing the ark of God from the house of Abinadab at Kirjath-jearim to Jerusalem, when thirty thousand leading men accompanied it on a new cart drawn by oxen and attended by two sons of Abinadab, with exultant shouts, songs of rejoicing, and music on harps, psalteries, timbrels, cornets, and cymbals. On the way at Nachon's threshingfloor the oxen shook the ark and Uzzah rashly took hold of it, so the anger of the Lord was kindled against him and God struck him dead beside the ark. That sudden judgment turned gladness to terror and grief, and David in astonishment and alarm questioned God's justice and, feeling it unsafe to have the ark near him, left it at the nearby house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

Michal despised David for leaping and dancing before the ark as it came into the city, and her contempt for David was contempt for and dishonor to the service of God itself. Therefore she had no child to the day of her death, because the Lord rebuked her pride and arrogance, and this childlessness was added to David's rebuke.
