Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.
Trophimus remained sick when Paul left him at Miletum. This shows that Christians were not always healed, even in Paul's day. They were not always healed even by faith.
God could have healed Trophimus, but He did not intend to remove all sickness from the church and from among Christians. The reason is that healing is not always what is best for the afflicted person. He manifests His healing power when it is for the good of the afflicted person and for His own glory.
