2 Timothy 4:21
Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren. Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
Paul's closing words were an urgent personal appeal for Timothy to come to him quickly, if possible before winter arrived. The urgency grew out of loneliness, for some companions had deserted him while others were absent on service elsewhere. To clear the way for Timothy to leave, Paul had sent Tychicus to Ephesus to take up the church work there, so that Timothy need not hesitate to come.
