Acts 13:38

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

The words belong to Paul's sermon in the synagogue at Antioch in Pisidia on the Sabbath, where after recounting God's dealings with the Jews from deliverance from Egyptian bondage he preached Jesus as the promised Messiah. The man through whom forgiveness is preached is Jesus as Saviour of humanity, the Messiah of prophecy promised of the seed of David, the risen Saviour. Through Him forgiveness of sins and salvation is preached and announced, and it is received through His merits as part of the good news of salvation.

This forgiveness is offered to all, Jew and Gentile alike, for Christ is a light to the Gentiles as well as the glory of Israel. Gentiles are recognized as children of God who rejoice in the word preached when it comes to them. At Antioch the forgiveness was first spoken to the Jews, but when the Jewish rulers moved by envy and jealousy rejected it, the same forgiveness was preached to the Gentiles.
