Acts 16:8

And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.

Paul with Silas, Timothy, and Luke passed by Mysia and came down to Troas on the borders of the Mediterranean Sea. The arrival at Troas marked the time for the gospel to go beyond Asia Minor into Europe. At Troas Paul received the vision calling him to carry the gospel into Macedonia and Europe, the Macedonian call to come over and help.

At Troas the company assuredly gathered that the Lord had called them to preach the gospel in Macedonia. They loosed from Troas at once and sailed with a straight course toward Samothracia, since the call admitted no delay.
