Acts 18:23
And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples. And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.
While Apollos was preaching at Corinth, Ephesus stood as Paul's next field of labor after Corinth. Before the journey this verse describes, Paul had stopped only briefly at Ephesus because he was hurrying to Jerusalem for a festival, and then he made a brief visit to Jerusalem. After Jerusalem he spent some time at Antioch, the scene of his early labors.
From Antioch he departed toward Ephesus in fulfillment of his promise to return there, traveling in order through Asia Minor across the country of Galatia and Phrygia. On that tour he visited in order the churches he himself had established in Galatia and Phrygia and strengthened the faith of the disciples.
