Acts 20:6
And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days. And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
Paul had hoped to reach Jerusalem before the Passover so that he could meet those who came to attend the feast, but a plot against his life forced him to abandon that plan and to hope instead that he might arrive by Pentecost. He remained at Philippi with Luke to keep the Passover, while the rest of his companions went on ahead to Troas. His stay at Philippi embraced eight peaceful, happy days spent with the believers there.
After the days of unleavened bread were ended he sailed from Philippi to Troas, arriving five days later. The crossing required five days rather than the usual two, because contrary winds delayed the vessel. On reaching Troas he remained there seven days. That week was spent with the believers, using the time to encourage and strengthen them.
