Acts 21:16

There went with us also certain of the disciples of Cæsarea, and brought with them one Mnason of Cyprus, an old disciple, with whom we should lodge.

Disciples from Caesarea went with Paul and his party as they traveled toward Jerusalem. They brought with them Mnason of Cyprus, an old disciple in the sense of a longtime believer. His house had been arranged in advance as the place where Paul and his companions would lodge. Such advance arrangement mattered because during the annual feasts the crowds made shelter in Jerusalem hard to find, so strangers often had to stay in booths outside the city. The journey to Jerusalem was marked by deep sadness and a foreboding of coming trouble.
