Acts 21:6

And when we had taken our leave one of another, we took ship; and they returned home again.

The leave-taking was at Tyre, with Paul stepping aboard the ship while the disciples turned back home, closing a week they had spent together. That week had been passed with the few disciples in the place as he journeyed toward Jerusalem. In that brief stay he gained their deep affection, so that the whole company of believers, wives and children included, went out with him to see him forward on his course.

Before he went aboard they united in prayer together on the shore. There they knelt side by side on the sand, he interceding for them and they for him. He departed even though the Holy Spirit had shown the Tyrian brethren something of the perils waiting for him at Jerusalem and they sought to turn him from going, for the same Spirit that had forewarned him of affliction, bonds, and imprisonment was still pressing him onward, and he proceeded as a willing captive.
