Acts 21:8
And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Cæsarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Cæsarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.
Paul and his traveling company journeyed southward to Caesarea and entered the house of Philip the evangelist and stayed with him. Philip is identified as one of the seven. They remained there several days, a few peaceful, happy days lasting until the very eve of the feast.
These were Paul's last days of complete, perfect freedom for a long time. Before the stormy scenes awaiting him at Jerusalem, the Lord graciously gave Paul this season of rest and happy communion to refresh his spirit. When Paul later arrived in Caesarea as a prisoner, Philip and other Christian associates recognized him and were saddened because events had confirmed their fears for him.
