After reading the letter from Lysias the chief captain, the governor asked to what province Paul belonged. He learned that Paul was from Cilicia. He ordered Paul to be kept in Herod's judgment hall until his accusers arrived, when he would hear the case. Those accusers were to come from Jerusalem.
