Acts 28:21
And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judæa concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee. And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judæa concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.
This statement belongs to the account of Paul's coming as a prisoner to Puteoli and then on to Rome. The Christians in Italy had received his epistle to the Romans and had eagerly looked for his visit. They welcomed him all the more because he had suffered.
The Jewish leaders in Rome had received no public or private letters out of Judea accusing him. None of the Jews who had arrived there had reported any crime committed by him or spoken any harm of him. They wanted to hear from him his reasons for believing in Christ.
