Acts 3:26

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Peter spoke these words to the children of the prophets and of the covenant God made with Abraham, that in his seed all the kindreds of the earth would be blessed. Unto you first means that God sent Jesus first to the Jews, to Israel. Having raised up His Son means that God sent the risen Jesus, and this is preaching the resurrection of Christ.

The blessing God sent is turning every person individually away from iniquities and sins. That turning is repentance and forgiveness, available through faith in the One they had rejected and crucified. The blessing is Christ giving His life to make each person individually His own by bringing the transgressor back to loyalty to God's law.

In turning the sinner from iniquity Christ elevates humanity and renews the image of God in man so that man partakes of the divine nature. He redeems from all iniquity and purifies a peculiar people zealous of good works. This is done by Christ dwelling in the heart by faith, joining the believer to Himself as a branch grafted into the true Vine. Christ came to turn sinners from their sins and invites the penitent to come to Him with all their sins and iniquity.

All has been done to bring salvation within reach and to bring divine aid for perfecting a Christian character, so there will be no excuse for sinners in the day of judgment. Many who heard were waiting for this testimony and when they heard it they believed. Remembering words Christ had spoken, they took their stand among gospel believers as the seed the Saviour had sown sprang up and bore fruit. Although Jesus as God's Son came to bless the people, they treated Him shamefully and persecuted Him until His work on earth was finished.
