Amos 1:14 foretells the destruction and judgment of Rabbah, with fire kindled to consume and devour its palaces. Rabbah was the capital of Ammon. That destruction was to come amid shouting and cries and tumult and noise in the day of battle, and with the force of a tempest and violent storm of judgment.
The chapter containing the verse has been listed among prophecies said to foretell the destruction of Tyre, although this verse itself names Rabbah and not Tyre.
