But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
The fire decreed to enter the house of Hazael and consume the palaces of Ben-hadad foretells the fiery destruction of the wicked upon the earth. That burning of a royal house and its palaces stands among the prophetic declarations that the earth's wicked will be destroyed by fire. Its fulfillment comes when the Lord comes, at which time the wicked are swept away by that sent fire.
