Amos 3:11
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled. An enemy would come against Israel and surround the land on every side, stripping away its military strength and plundering its palaces. God himself would bring this adversary as judgment for the violence and oppression practiced within the nation. The warning was directed to a people who knew how to do right yet refused to do it.
