Amos 6:12

Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:

Justice has been turned into bitterness, and the fruit that should have been righteousness has become poisonous in its effect. This applies to words spoken in council meetings that oppress others and create strife, where human wisdom that appears correct produces harshness, denunciation, and bitterness and so damages friendship and Christian love. In this sense, a judgment may seem right to the one who utters it while being wrong in God's sight.
