Daniel 11:14 belongs to the remarkable prophecies recorded in Daniel chapters seven through twelve. Those prophecies were entrusted to Daniel as God's representative to reveal the mysteries of the ages to come. Even Daniel himself did not fully understand them, for their words were to remain shut up and sealed until the time of the end. At the end of the days, in the closing period of this world's history, Daniel will rest and then stand again in his appointed lot and place.
The prophecy to which this verse belongs has almost reached its complete and final fulfillment. Its near fulfillment comes amid growing trouble among the nations. The world is stirred by war, and troubles will increase until the end. The last crisis is close, and the foretold scenes of trouble will soon take place.
