Daniel 11:15
So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand. So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.
The verse portrays the northern king advancing to throw up a siege mound and seize the strongest fortified cities, while the military power of the south, even its picked troops, cannot hold out and no strength remains to resist. It stands among the wonderful prophecies of Daniel 7-12, entrusted to Daniel as God's ambassador to unveil the mysteries of ages to come. Even Daniel himself did not fully grasp its meaning. It was part of the words shut up and sealed until the time of the end, to be unsealed in the closing period of this world's history. With it comes the blessed assurance that Daniel would rest and afterward stand again in his lot and place at the end of the days.
Its prophecy has nearly reached complete fulfillment and stands close to its final fulfillment. It points to impending scenes of trouble at a time when the world is stirred by war.
