Daniel 11:17
He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.
Daniel 11:17 belongs to the wonderful prophecies recorded in Daniel 7-12, given as revelations of the mysteries of ages to come. Even Daniel himself did not fully understand them. They were to be shut up and sealed even to the time of the end, the closing period of this world's history. Daniel was directed to go his way till the end and to rest, with the blessed assurance that at the end of the days he would stand in his lot and place. It is part of the prophecies of Daniel 11 that have almost reached their complete and final fulfillment. The scenes of trouble foretold in these prophecies are soon to take place.
