Daniel 11:25
And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.
Daniel 11:25 belongs to the far-reaching, wonderful prophecies of Daniel 7-12 that reveal through Daniel the mysteries of ages to come. Even Daniel himself did not fully understand what was shown, for the matter was shut up and sealed until the time of the end. It belongs to the closing period of this world's history.
Its final fulfillment is nearly reached and nearly complete. Its closing events involve grievous trouble among the nations and a time of trouble that will grow until the end. It belongs to scenes of trouble soon to take place in a world stirred by the spirit of war. At the end of the days Daniel will again stand in his lot and place.
