Daniel 11:4
And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.
It belongs to the wonderful prophecies of Daniel 7-12, given to Daniel as God's ambassador to reveal the mysteries of ages to come. Daniel himself did not fully understand it. It was shut up and sealed until the time of the end, and it belongs to the closing period of this world's history. It carries the blessed assurance that Daniel would rest and then stand in his lot and place at the end of the days.
Its fulfillment is nearly complete. The scenes of trouble spoken of in prophecy are soon to take place. That near completion comes at a time when the world is stirred by war.
