Daniel 11:41
He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
The verse stands within the wonderful prophecies recorded in Daniel 7-12, given to Daniel as God's ambassador as revelation of the mysteries of ages to come. Even Daniel himself did not fully understand it, for its words were shut up and the book sealed until the time of the end. To him was given the assurance that he would rest and then stand in his lot and place at the end of the days, in the closing period of this world's history.
The prophecy to which the verse belongs is almost completely fulfilled, and its final fulfilment is almost reached. The final scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies are soon to take place, while the world is stirred by the spirit of war.
