Daniel 11:45
And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
This verse belongs to the wonderful revelations of the mysteries of ages to come given through Daniel in chapters 7-12. Even Daniel himself did not fully understand it, for its words were shut up and sealed until the time of the end. In the closing period of this world's history that seal is removed so it can be understood.
It identifies the last oppressive power that tramples the true church and that comes to its end with no one to help it. That same power is described in Revelation 13:11-18. Its final struggle involves deception, wonders, miracles and oppression around the time of the seven last plagues. Its end with none to help it coincides with Michael standing up in kingly power to destroy the wicked and deliver His people. Its end had not yet come while the church was still being oppressed, which showed that Michael had not yet stood up.
Its prophecy is nearly completely fulfilled, with only its final events remaining. Its approaching fulfillment signals that grievous trouble among the nations and the time of trouble leading up to Jesus' coming are near. Its final scenes of trouble will soon take place amid a world stirred by war. Daniel was assured that after resting he would stand again in his lot and place at the end of the days.
