Daniel 11:9

So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.

The verse belongs to the wonderful prophecies recorded in Daniel 7-12, given to Daniel as God's ambassador revealing the mysteries of ages to come. Its full meaning was not understood even by Daniel himself. The prophetic writings were ordered to be shut up and sealed until the time of the end. Before his life work closed Daniel was given the blessed assurance that at the end of the days, in the closing period of this world's history, he would rest and then stand again in his lot and place.

The prophecy containing the verse has nearly reached its final, complete fulfillment. The world is stirred by war as this fulfillment approaches. The coming scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecy are soon to take place.
