Deuteronomy 11:32

And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.

Moses spoke the charge as part of his rehearsal of God's instruction to Israel before they entered Canaan, and the chapter in which it stands is among God's important words to be remembered and heeded. The call to observe to do all the statutes and judgments means all the directions given in Deuteronomy chapters four to eleven, from the greatest to what may seem the least, to be carefully observed and done. Those requirements express God's will, and every rule and ruling He gives must be kept in practice because His law is sacred.

Those chapters give instruction that all need in order to understand God's dealings with His people. Obedience to the Lord's commandments brings blessing, while transgression of God's law brings harmful consequences and a curse. That curse falls especially on turning aside to follow other gods.

God verified His word when the disobedient generation died in the wilderness and only two of the adults who had left Egypt entered Canaan. He will vindicate His word today if leaders of His people depart from His commandments, that it may go well with them and their children and they may prolong their days. The command was given as truly to present believers as to Israel, carries lessons of the greatest importance, and means much now. It means much to every soul carrying responsibilities in connection with sanitarium work.
