Deuteronomy 15:20
Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household. Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.
The verse teaches mercy, compassion, and tenderness toward others. It makes kindness the measure of right conduct, not merely outward correctness. Therefore it requires dealing rightly and mercifully with a brother over a debt. A claim is not to be pressed without compassion, but settled in a way that honors brotherhood and mercy.
