Deuteronomy 2:22
As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day: As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:
Deuteronomy 2:22 belongs to the account of Israel's route around the territories of Lot's descendants. It records that the Lord had previously enabled Esau's descendants, who dwelt in Seir, to destroy the Horites from before them, to succeed them, and to dwell in their stead even to that day. This example was given alongside the instruction that Israel was not to take the land God had given to the Moabites and Ammonites.
