Deuteronomy 29:2
And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land; And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
Moses summoned the whole of Israel to remember that they had personally witnessed with their own eyes everything the Lord had done before them in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, against all his servants, and against all his land. Those mighty acts were set before them as the foundation for the covenant renewal then taking place. The words spoken on that occasion are to be carefully studied, for they carry the terms and solemnity of that renewed covenant with the Lord.
As Israel at that time renewed its covenant with the Lord on the strength of what it had seen, so God's people today are to renew their covenant with Him. That renewal calls for putting away stubbornness of heart and entering fully into loyalty to Him.
