Deuteronomy 29:27
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book: And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
The Lord's anger was kindled against the land because His people forsook His covenant. Having abandoned that covenant bond, they turned to serve gods they had not known. That unfaithfulness and idolatry called forth the threatened judgments, bringing upon the land all the curses written in the book.
