And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel. The law that Moses wrote and delivered to the priests and elders was given to govern humanity. Its delivery carries God's command that parents teach His law to their children and require their obedience to it. That charge to teach from one generation to the next belongs to the instruction given in Deuteronomy 31:9-13. Neglect of that law from generation to generation has helped bring the world into rebellion against God.
