Deuteronomy 33:13
And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
Blessed by the Lord, Joseph's land receives heaven's precious gifts, the dew from above, and water from the deep that lies couched beneath the earth. The verse pictures Canaan as it would flourish under God's blessing, a land made fruitful by abundant water. That promised blessing was displayed in fertile plains and valleys, in fruitful hills, and in streams and lakes set within rich natural abundance. Taken together with the verses that follow, the blessing extends further to abundant fruits and resources of the land.
