Deuteronomy 7:25
The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.
The command is to burn with fire the carved images of foreign gods, and not to covet or take for oneself the silver or gold upon them. Taking that silver or gold is forbidden because it would ensnare the taker, and because such idolatrous objects are an abomination to the Lord. The requirement was given through Moses in Deuteronomy 4-8 as part of what God required of ancient Israel in order that they might be a holy people to Himself.
That instruction applies to God's people now as fully as it did to ancient Israel, for God's commandments and judgments are to be obeyed carefully, even in what may seem the least detail. It is to be studied with profit now, when the day of God's great final review is near. Then the people of this world must stand before the Judge of all the earth to answer for their deeds, in the present time of investigation when every character will have been examined and every case decided for eternity. The direction is relevant to all who carry responsibilities in sanitarium work.
As an important requirement from heaven it is to be brought before readers in opposition to the display of imagery belonging to idolatrous shrines.
