Ecclesiastes 4:6

Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.

A small share possessed in peace is superior to a large abundance obtained through wearing toil and inward distress. What is little becomes truly good when it is enjoyed quietly, while what is much loses its value when it costs restlessness of spirit. The modest provision of a righteous person can therefore be a great blessing, sufficient and satisfying in its proper use. Material plenty is not worth pursuing when its price is trouble and vexation, since peace outweighs mere fullness of hands.
