Ecclesiastes 7:12
For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
The special excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who possess it. That life comes through God's Word, whose creative power imparts life. Every command of God carries a promise, and when willingly received into the soul it brings the life of the Infinite One. So received, it transforms human nature and recreates the soul in the image of God.
That God-given life is sustained by every word that proceeds from God. Scripture nourishes the mind and soul, feeding each person according to the truths chosen to dwell upon.
