Solomon Commands from His Throne of Lionsby emmanuel_higgins

Ecclesiastes 8:4

Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

Where the word of a king is found, power is found there as well, because that word bears the authority and power of his whole kingdom. No subject stands in a position to call the king to account or to require him to explain and justify what he does. When this is understood of God as King, His holy law is power, and that power was displayed in the wonders and judgments connected with the ark. Those displays included blessing upon those who honored it and judgment upon irreverence, even to the slaying of thousands who looked into it. When this is understood of God as King, the Bible is the word of the true King, and therefore searching it brings the searcher to the hidden wisdom and treasures of God.
