Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Peace and love accompanied by faith are wished upon fellow believers, with that blessing flowing from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The Father is the God of peace, while the Son is the channel through whom that peace is bestowed. Love is coupled with faith because genuine faith operates through love, and genuine love expresses itself in faithful obedience. The gospel is therefore a message of peace, standing in contrast to the law whose message is tribulation.
