Esther 6:14
And while they were yet talking with him, came the king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared. And while they were yet talking with him, came the king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.
While his wife and his wise men were still telling him that he would surely fall before Mordecai, the king's chamberlains arrived and hastened Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared. That summons came soon after Mordecai had been honored in public and Haman had returned to his house mourning. He went to the banquet therefore unwillingly, not in the cheerful mood in which he and his household had expected him to go.
The hastening belongs to Haman's attempt in the reign of Ahasuerus in Medo-Persia to destroy all the people of God. Medo-Persia was the second head of the beast, the abnormal satanic system of church-and-state government at war with God and His Christ and His church, which Satan perverted to his own ends. Through Haman Satan sought to destroy the people, even the woman, through whom the promised Man-child was to come, so that Haman's being hurried to Esther's banquet was part of that plot, but God frustrated his purpose.
