Esther 8:11
Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,
The king's counter-permission allowed the Jews in every city throughout the kingdom to gather themselves together for their own protection. It granted them the right to stand for their lives against all who would assault them. As they assembled and stood in defense of their lives under that grant, the angels of God protected them.
That deliverance stands as a pattern for a future decree to be issued against God's commandment-keeping people. As God vindicated His people in the days of Esther, so He will vindicate them when that like crisis comes.
