Esther 8:14
So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace. So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.
The counter-decree was issued at the palace in Shushan and dispatched from there by mounted couriers. Those riders went out with speed, hastened and pressed on by the king's commandment. They were charged to hurry that royal counter-order throughout the whole realm.
The haste was purposeful, so that the Jews everywhere could learn they were permitted to prepare to defend their lives. That swift carrying of the tidings was part of God's providential deliverance of His people from the plot laid against them.
