Esther 9:30
And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth, And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,
The verse belongs to the history of the Jews under the Persian king Ahasuerus and their deliverance from enemies through God's overruling providence. After Haman's plan to destroy the Jews was frustrated, letters were sent to the Jews throughout the 127 provinces of Ahasuerus's kingdom with words of peace and truth. It is part of the counter decree that saved the Jews from destruction and brought about the overthrow of their enemies, thereby preserving the godly line. It records the triumphant vindication of God's people and the defeat of Haman.
In prophetic setting this belongs to the Medo-Persian phase of the beast, when the abnormal satanic system of government was Medo-Persian. Then Satan worked through Haman in the reign of Ahasuerus to destroy all of God's people, the woman through whom the Man Child should come, but God frustrated his purpose and delivered them. The surrounding chapter also records the origin of Purim, the feast commemorating this deliverance of the Jews from the plot to destroy them. The deliverance illustrates that God will rescue His people when they are threatened with death for refusing to obey human commands about worship.
