Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.
Exodus 25:27 concerns the table for the showbread, which holds the bread. Its rings were fixed opposite the border as places for the poles or staves to bear and transport the table. In the earthly tabernacle the table stood on the north side of the holy place.
The same table is seen in the holy place, or first apartment, of the heavenly sanctuary. The earthly sanctuary and its furniture were a figure and likeness of the heavenly sanctuary and its furniture. There the table stands with the candlestick with seven lamps and the altar of incense with the censer behind the opened curtain or door, and all the furniture of that apartment is of purest gold and reflects the image of the one who enters there.
